About Lauryn Murphy

Greetings! I am Lauryn Murphy, the Dean of Students/Student Advocate at Frank Ira Bennett Elementary School, and I am excited to partner with students, families, and staff for another transformative school year. My vision for this year is to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student feels empowered to reach their full potential both academically and personally. Together, we will focus on building strong relationships, promoting positive behavior, and nurturing the social-emotional growth of all students.

As we navigate this year, I believe in the power of collaboration and community. One of my guiding principles is captured by the words of Maya Angelou: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." With this in mind, I am committed to ensuring that each student knows they are valued, heard, and capable of achieving great things.

I look forward to working with you all to create a school culture where students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
